The contract signed by the Dutch aircraft manufacturer was for 40 of its new F-100 airliners, with options on an additional 60. Fokker, which called the deal the biggest single order for a European-built airliner, will lease the 107-seat aircraft to operators under a new joint-venture company formed with Guinness Peat Aviation of Ireland and Mitsubishi of Japan.
