Two members of El Rukns, a drug-dealing street gang with an avowed allegiance to Islam, pleaded innocent in Chicago to federal charges of conspiring with the Libyan government to attack U.S. targets. Four members of the El Rukns, including the gang’s imprisoned leader, Jeff Fort, 39, were indicted last week on weapons and conspiracy charges. The men are charged with contacting representatives of Libya and offering to perform acts of violence.
