Judge Allows Creche at Chicago City Hall

CHICAGO —
A federal judge has ruled that a creche may be displayed this year at Chicago City Hall despite a lawsuit by several Jewish organizations challenging inclusion of the nativity scene in Christmas decorations.
U.S. District Judge Frank McGarr said in his ruling Wednesday that he did not consider displaying a creche on municipal property to be a violation of the separation of church and state.
