Mark McMillin of Bonita became the first four-time overall winner of the PEMX SCORE Baja 1,000 off-road race, driving his Porsche across the finish line at 2:04 a.m. PST Friday.

McMillin, averaging 54.8 m.p.h. in the 1,013-mile race, finished in 18 hours 26 minutes 28.32 seconds. It was his first try in the single-seat, unlimited-class, four-wheel category. His previous victories were in the two-seat class.
