USIU Hockey Team Wins in Overtime

The United States International University hockey team opened its season by defeating the University of British Columbia, 9-7, in overtime Friday at Vancouver.

USIU overcame a 5-1 deficit in the second period. USIU’s Gary Benard scored two goals, including the game winner. Brad Fenton added two goals and Jim Hau had a goal and three assists.
