Homework Differs

Share

I just saw Harry Bernstein’s Sept. 3 column on the Administration’s proposed lifting of the ban on industrial homework. I want to congratulate Bernstein on his knowledgeable and sensitive description of the real issues at stake here.

At a time when so many journalists confuse industrial homework with computer homework and treat the lifting of the ban as an issue of personal freedom rather than worker protection, his even-handed and clear portrayal of the reality of labor standards enforcement is welcome indeed.
