Poland’s Communist-controlled unions said they disapprove of a government draft of a 1987 economic plan that proposes a wage freeze and a 20% boost in food prices. The unions said the economic plan will be “difficult for the people to accept,” even though some of the proposals may be justified by Poland’s deepening economic crisis. The statement came after a meeting with government officials.
