Phase 1 of Lincoln Technology Park Opens in Camarillo Site

The first phase of the $50-million, 35-acre Lincoln Technology Park has opened at Flynn Road and the Ventura (101) Freeway in Camarillo, with three “user-dictated” buildings.

The three structures--incorporating technology that permits the space user to create virtually any configuration--comprise 98,809, 78,670 and 51,821 square feet, according to a spokesman for the developer, a joint venture of Lincoln Property Co., Dallas, and the Bankers Life of Des Moines, Iowa.

Jay Smith of Lincoln Property’s Thousand Oaks office said that Medical Analysis Systems Inc. has leased a 30,552-square-foot portion of the 51,821-square-foot building for $1.6 million. Daum/Johnstown American is the leasing agent; TOLD Real Estate Corp. was the cooperating broker on the Medical Analysis transaction.

When completed, Lincoln Technology Park will have 539,000 square feet of building space in three phases, he added. The project was designed by Barasch Architects & Associates, Pasadena, and built by TOLD Construction Co., Camarillo.

Design features include an interior design plan that provides 14-foot clearance under the mezzanine, allowing a wide range of uses, from manufacturing or warehousing to improved space for office, engineering or laboratory space, according to Smith.

“Most buildings provide only 10 to 12 feet clearance under the mezzanine,” he added. “Our buildings feature a wall-bracing configuration raised to a minimum of nine feet, allowing the tenant to dictate the space plan, not the building.”
