A police task force scoured New York City streets for a man who shot six officers when they tried to arrest him for questioning in four drug murders. Larry Davis, 20, is believed to be heavily armed and officers have been warned to call for help before attempting to arrest the suspect. The shooting occurred when a team of 27 law enforcement officers surrounded the apartment building of Davis’ sister after receiving a tip that Davis was inside. Five of the six officers shot were hospitalized and all were expected to survive.
