L.B. Art Museum Program Selected for Video Festival

The Long Beach Museum of Art program, OPEN CHANNELS: 1986, has been selected to premiere at 10 a.m. Dec. 5 at the National Video Festival at the American Film Institute. OPEN CHANNELS: 1986 introduces five recently completed video works by California artists commissioned by the Long Beach Museum of Art in its annual television production grant program.

The five artists--John Arvanites, Jeane Finley, Ed Jones, Tony Labat and David Stout--were selected from more than 80 applicants in open competition. The annual program awards artists a cash award, videotape stock and equipment access to the cable industry. Ticket information for the National Video Festival is at (213) 856-7787.
