Five people were arrested in a drug raid in Pacoima in which detectives confiscated about $4,000 worth of rock cocaine and $4,000 worth of allegedly stolen property, Los Angeles County sheriff’s officers said.

Arrested Friday at their home in the 13400 block of Desmond Street were Adonis Jenkins, 53, his son Arthur Jenkins, 28, and Robin Johnson, 28, according to Sgt. Bob Wachsmuth of the sheriff’s narcotics bureau. All three were charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell.

Also arrested were Tommy Perry, 24, of the 12900 block of Montford Street in Pacoima, and David Scelsi, 25, of Northridge. Perry also was charged with drug possession with intent to sell, and Scelsi was charged with drug possession.

Wachsmuth said 137 pieces of rock cocaine were seized in the raid, which involved 15 sheriff’s deputies and five Los Angeles police officers.

Authorities also seized as evidence a 1986 Cadillac purchased in October for $27,602 in cash, Wachsmuth said.

The Jenkins, held in lieu of $100,000 bail, were taken to the Los Angeles County Jail in Los Angeles. Johnson, whose bail was set at $5,000, was transfered to the County’s Sybil Brand Institute for Women in East Los Angeles.

Both Perry, whose bail was set at $10,000, and Scelsi, whose bail was $2,500, were released on bail later Friday.

Arraignment for all five defendants tentatively was set for Wednesday in San Fernando Municipal Court.
