Bishops’ Letter on Economic Rights

Share

The bishops’ final draft (thank God) on “economic justice” should be seen for what it is--an attack on freedom (capitalism) and an advocation of force (government intervention).

Obviously, economic facts (which prove the folly of such socialistic drivel) are lost on the bishops and others of collectivist persuasion; otherwise they would recognize that the implementation of their plans has led to economic stagnation everywhere it has been tried.

Therefore, one of two conclusions can be drawn: (1) the bishops are economic illiterates, or (2) they realize that general misery and dependency benefits the church (with its promise of a glorious afterlife to follow the one they’ve helped ruin on earth.)

Neither choice is terribly appetizing.
