THANK HEAVEN FOR LITTLE CURLS . . .

And for our next exclusive . . .

“Dynasty,” which sunk to its lowest rating in five years last week (35th among 65 shows), will try to lure viewers back by whacking away at Linda Evans’ signature hair style! And then they’re sticking formerly discreet Krystle . . . into a strapless gown!

It will all be unveiled (no airdate yet) in “The Ball,” a lavish episode apparently created to showcase Evans’ new Cherie Huffman-designed coiffure and Nolan Miller-created gown. Publicity stills being readied for the blitz picture show the actress’ shoulders amply revealed in a black-and-white belted gown, topped by a black cape lined with white satin. And that new off-the-face hair style--naturally curly, almost bouffant.

Miller, whose opulent fashions helped make the soap an international hit, has also been ordered to “dress down” the cast (you’ll see Evans and Collins in jeans, and Evans in an upscale housedress, changing diapers and making breakfast for Blake!). And the designer isn’t happy about it.

Snapped Miller: “They’ve been turning out dreadful scripts and blaming my clothes for falling ratings. Clothes are very important for a show like this--which is a study of money and power. My clothes have reflected that.”
