Joseph R. Hardiman has been elected chairman of the board of governors of the National Assn. of Securities Dealers for 1987. He is also managing director and chief operating officer of Alex. Brown & Sons Inc., Baltimore. Richard C. Romano, president of Romano Bros. & Co. of Evanston, Ill., will become vice chairman.
