Travel Offices Aid in Planning Pleasure Trips

Vacationers often consult government travel offices before taking to the road, according to a Better Homes and Gardens survey.

One-fifth of respondents who stayed overnight in paid accommodations said they used information from government travel offices to help plan the destination of the details of their pleasure trips. About 75% of all respondents had stayed overnight an average of $853 on their most recent pleasure trip.

Nearly 70% of them indicated that they expected to visit their most recent vacation spot again.
