Four lost hikers were rescued by the crew of a Los Angeles County sheriff’s helicopter after spending a freezing night huddled together in the Angeles National Forest. Deputies said Carol Brashears, 23; John Ball, 40; John Hollis, 28, and David Reiffen, 28, were in good condition and did not require medical treatment. Fifteen deputies and members of the Montrose Search and Rescue Team began looking for the hikers in the San Gabriel Mountains above La Canada Flintridge after the wife of one of the men reported them missing.
