One of four AIDS-infected inmates who escaped from a maximum-security prison was captured near the scene of an attempted burglary in Paramus, N.J., police said. The prisoner, Anthony Talarico, 24, and an ex-convict, Kenneth Silvani, 34, were arrested after a car chase. Talarico escaped Saturday from the AIDS treatment unit at Trenton State Prison, more than 55 miles southwest of Paramus. Two of the AIDS-infected inmates remained at large. Another was captured shortly after the escape.
