Temple City : Case Named to School Board
Dale W. Case Jr. has been appointed to the Temple City Unified School District Board of Education to serve a one-year term, filling a vacancy created when member Nancy Cash died in September.
Case, a 47-year-old accountant, will serve until the November, 1987, general election.
The board decided not to hold a special election because it would have cost $16,000 and could not have been held before March, Supt. Wesley Bosson said.
Although Cash was elected in November, 1985, to a four-year term, Case was appointed to serve only until the next regularly scheduled election, so four seats will be up for election next November.
Case, a past director of the California Jaycees and treasurer of the Temple City Educational Foundation, was one of seven applicants for the position.
