The New York state health commissioner named eight hospitals as AIDS centers that will provide a broad range of health care services and help reduce hospital stays for AIDS patients. Under the Comprehensive AIDS Center program, the hospitals will receive a 30% higher insurance reimbursement for each AIDS patient in return for offering more services, including outpatient care such as dental, home care and counseling.
