Reagan and the Unfolding Iran-Contra Story

One of my friends asked me if I heard Reagan’s speech the other morning. I told him, “No, I’ve heard it before. Richard Nixon used to read it to us about every five or six weeks.”
It must be really difficult for those rock-ribbed Republicans--they have spent all of those years explaining Nixon and now they have this dunce--an even more accomplished liar than Nixon.
