TV, RADIO TO AIR ARMS HEARINGS

Today’s House of Representatives Foreign Affairs Committee hearings on the Iran arms/ contra- funds deal will be covered live, in full, by public radio and television stations and on cable TV’s news/public affairs channels.
Secretary of State George Shultz is scheduled to appear during this morning’s session, which can be seen live starting at 5:30 a.m. Former National Security adviser Robert C. McFarlane is scheduled for the afternoon session, beginning at 11 a.m.
Television coverage will be on KCET Channel 28, Cable News Network and C-SPAN. Radio coverage will be carried by KCRW-FM (89.9) and KPCC-FM (89.3). In addition to the live coverage, KCRW will broadcast a half-hour summary of the hearings at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Tuesday’s session is expected to be closed and not available for live coverage.
