Duarte : City Manager Resigns
City Manager Ken Caresio has resigned effective Jan. 9 to become senior vice president for the investment banking firm of Chilton and O’Connor in Los Angeles.
Caresio, 46, is a civil engineer who worked for Los Angeles County and the city of Baldwin Park before joining Duarte 15 years ago as assistant city manager in charge of development. He has been city manager 12 years.
Caresio said that in his new job he will put together financial packages for municipalities.
The City Council will meet Tuesday to discuss recruitment of a new city manager.
