Baldwin Park : New Police Chief Named
Police Capt. Richard A. Hoskin, an 18-year veteran of the Baldwin Park Police Department, has been named chief of police.
Hoskin, who took over the position on Monday, replaced David L. Snowden, 43, who resigned Oct. 31 to become the chief of police for Costa Mesa, City Manager Ralph Webb said.
Hoskin, 40, a resident of West Covina, was chosen for the $56,000-a-year position after taking oral and written examinations, Webb said.
Hoskin joined the department in 1968 and was promoted to captain in 1981.
