The Colombian baritone Carlos Julio Ramirez has died at the age of 73.
Ramirez, 73, died Thursday in Miami General Hospital after a long illness. He was best known in Latin America, Europe and the United States for his interpretation of the tango “Nostalgia.”
In addition to his recordings, Ramirez performed operas such as the Barber of Seville at New York’s Carnegie Hall and the Colon Theater of Buenos Aires.
