Fortune Found in Sardinian’s Clothing

CAGLIARI, Sardinia —
Neighbors thought 85-year-old Salvatore Loru was virtually penniless until chest pains forced him to a hospital and doctors there found more than 400 million lire (about $285,000) stitched inside his shabby clothing.
Italian press reports on Tuesday said Loru had been living alone in a ramshackle house in Villacidro.
