AST Research Inc., a manufacturer of personal computers and computer enhancement products, has announced the promotion of James Ashbrook to senior vice president for worldwide sales. In his new capacity, Ashbrook will oversee all domestic and international sales of the Irvine-based company’s products and develop plans for growth.

Prior to his promotion, Ashbrook served as vice president of marketing.
