Lights, camera, action! City camera crews began broadcasting the meetings of the Pasadena Board of Directors live over cable television this week in an effort to make the workings of city government more accessible to the public.
Broadcasts will begin each Monday at 2 p.m. The meetings will be rebroadcast Tuesdays at 6 p.m., Wednesdays at 9 a.m. and Saturdays at 10 a.m.
The meetings will be broadcast over Channel 55 for Falcon Cable TV subscribers and Channel 3 for Kinneloa Television Systems subscribers.
The broadcasts are produced by the city’s Telecommunications Administration.
Telecommunications administrator Victor Laruccia estimated that up to 11,000 cable subscribers in the city will be able to see the broadcasts.
