Man Linked to IRA Bombings Held in Utah

SALT LAKE CITY —
A former member of the outlawed Irish Republican Army wanted on charges of bombing army barracks in Northern Ireland and England was arrested in the parking lot of his suburban apartment, authorities said Wednesday.
Peter Gabriel McMullen, charged with blowing up barracks in Belfast in 1972 and North Yorkshire in 1974, will be held in custody until the U.S. Supreme Court decides whether he may be deported.
