The deputy commander of Israel’s Jerusalem-based Army College for Education and eight other instructors and soldiers were arrested on suspicion on possessing illegal drugs, a military source reported. The deputy commander, a woman lieutenant, was arrested by military police on suspicion of possessing hashish, while the rest, all from the same school, were suspecting of possessing and using hashish, the source said. The newspaper Yediot Aharonot described the arrested soldiers as coming from “respected families.”
