Hasenfus Gets in Holiday Mood

MARINETTE, Wis. —
Freed American mercenary Eugene Hasenfus spent his first day back home today “popping beers” with friends and relatives and cutting a Christmas tree for his family.
Hasenfus, 45, and his wife, Sally, arrived home late Thursday night to a tearful welcome at the Green Bay airport 55 miles away. They then made the trip to Marinette in a donated bus, filled with family and relatives.
