Tennessee Defeats UCLA Women, 81-58

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. —
Junior center Karla Horton of Tennessee scored 19 points and pulled down 10 rebounds to lead the top-ranked Lady Vols to an 81-58 victory over the UCLA women Saturday.
The Lady Vols (6-0) led only 24-23 with 6:01 left in the first half but then outscored UCLA, 18-4, to lead, 42-27, at halftime.
UCLA trailed, 81-48, with four minutes left.
The Bruins (4-3) made a spurt in the final minutes, scoring the last 10 points of the game, including six by junior guard Jaime Brown.
Brown and Shari Biggs led the Bruins with 10 points apiece.
