The sleigh on the cover is bringing John Denver and others into a scene for “The Christmas Gift,” a new romantic-fantasy drama airing Sunday from 9 to 11 p.m. on CBS (Channel 2).
Denver is cast as a recently widowed New York architect who goes to a small Colorado town to buy land for a huge complex. With Christmas near, he takes his daughter along to make it a white Christmas for both of them, but what they unexpectedly find is a town which seems to have stood still for a hundred years.
The movie, filmed completely in Colorado, also stars Jane Kaczmarek, Edward Winter, Gennie James, Pat Corley and Mary Wickes.
