Share

Ultrasystems Inc. said that its defense and space subsidiary has received 20 contracts and extensions on existing contracts from the U.S. Department of Defense totaling more than $20.6 million.

Phillip Stevens, the company’s president, said the agreements are evenly split between the new contracts and extensions to existing contracts that had expired Oct. 1, which is the beginning of the U.S. government’s fiscal year.

Stevens said that the contracts involve systems engineering and the design and development of both software and new signal processing hardware for the Defense Department’s space program and its secure office automation systems. He said that the largest of the contracts is valued at about $4.4 million.
