‘It’s Religion, Not Science’
The editorial classified creation science as religion and evolution as scientific fact. It goes so far as to say, “Humans evolved from apes.”
Many years ago Yves Delage, a famous scientist, made the penetrating observation that evolution was accepted “not so much for reasons deduced from natural history, as for motives of personal philosophic opinions.” He went on to say, “If one takes one’s stand upon the exclusive ground of facts it must be acknowledged that the formation of one species from another species has not been demonstrated at all. In other words man has always remained unalterably human and there is not the slightest bit of evidence, fossil or otherwise, that he has evolved from an ape. Anything to the contrary is pseudo-science.
