San Diego
Burglars made off with 28 fur coats valued at $125,000 at Buffums in the Fashion Valley shopping center early Christmas morning, San Diego police said.
Officers responding to a burglar alarm at 1:30 a.m. discovered the theft, Sgt. Jim Wallace said.
“It was enough to make somebody’s Christmas enriching,” he said.
Police suspect that the thieves had hidden inside the store before it closed Christmas Eve and then set off the alarm on the way out.
