Mexican President Miguel de la Madrid and Vice President George Bush held unannounced private talks at a newly developed resort in Baja California on the Sea of Cortez, a spokesman for Bush announced in Washington. “It is of a personal, private nature. It is a chance in an informal setting for both of them to discuss a wide range of bilateral issues . . . ,” Bush spokesman Steve Hart said of the talks. He added that the session had been scheduled for some time during the vice president’s current four-day vacation in the resort of Loreto.
