Actor Clayton Moore, 73, who portrayed the fictional hero of the Old West in 200 television episodes and two motion pictures, told Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies that two Colt .45 pistols, a $5,000 gun belt, two costumes and 36 silver bullets engraved with “The Lone Ranger 45” were among the items, valued at $20,000, which failed to arrive in Los Angeles on a flight from Houston. Moore said the belt and pistols are his originals and he had planned to wear them while riding in the Tournament of Roses Parade New Year’s Day. “I am definitely still planning to ride in the parade. I don’t want to disappoint all the kids,” he said.
