Anaheim : Chanteclaire Roosters Give $10,000 to Home
The Roosters of Chanteclaire, a private organization of about 160 Orange County businessmen, recently donated $10,000 to Canyon Acres Residential Center, a home in Anaheim Hills for abused and neglected children.
The center will use the money to help buy its four-acre ranch site, which it now leases.
The center houses 20 children between the ages of 6 and 12. Special education classes are furnished by the Orange Unified School District.
Martin Rippins, president of the Roosters of Chanteclaire, presented the club’s check to Daniel J. McQuaid, executive director of the residential center. After the ceremonies, club members took Christmas presents to the children.
