Basque Separatists Target Ski Resort
From Reuters
MADRID —
Basque separatists set off two small bombs in a skiing hotel near Madrid on Friday, and government officials said they fear more attacks in the guerrillas’ campaign against Spanish winter sports resorts.
The blasts caused minor damage and no casualties.
The attack on the Venta Arias Hotel in Navacerrada, 40 miles north of Madrid, followed a blast Monday at a hotel in the Catalan ski resort of Baqueira-Beret, where King Juan Carlos and his family were vacationing.
