Rams’ Season May Be Over, but Their Fans Aren’t Through Yet

Share

Would someone please tell me who it was who played and lost to San Francisco two weeks ago or which team lost to the Redskins so ignominiously this past Sunday. It looked like the Rams to me.

Let’s see now, they had horns on their helmets, and blue and gold uniforms. They certainly lowered themselves to the occasion like the Rams so often do. And they seemed awe-struck by the importance of the game and played accordingly. They had a coach on the sidelines who resembled Santa Claus, sans beard, who applauded his team after each turnover. They even ran the ball on second and 20 a couple of times.

Boy, I thought for sure those were the Rams I was watching out there. You can imagine my relief when I found out these were not the Rams, just inept impostors.

I mean, I must have heard a half dozen of these charlatans, who looked just like the Rams, say, “That wasn’t the Rams out there.” Or, “That wasn’t Rams football.” Funny, it looked exactly like Rams football to me.DANA MERINO
