Price Co. Reports Earnings Increase for First Quarter

The Price Co. reported a 24.2% increase in net earnings to $22 million and a 26% jump in revenue to $1 billion for the first quarter ended Dec. 21, 1986.

Price Co. which opened four new Price Club stores during 1986, expects to open 12 more outlets this year, including four stores that will replace existing stores. The San Diego-based company opened its first Canadian stores in Montreal in November.
