Ex-Iranian Official Faces Discord Charge

NICOSIA, Cyprus —
A former Iranian Parliament deputy has been arrested and confessed he sowed discord among the people, Iran’s official news agency reported Saturday.
The news agency said Mowlavi Didgah confessed he “abused his position by exploiting the naivete of the people and the trust of the Islamic government.”
Didgah is from the southeastern province of Sistan-Baluchistan and reportedly was arrested Dec. 4.
