41% Prefer Democrat for President, Poll Finds

NEW YORK — Forty-one per cent of Americans said they prefer a Democratic President in 1988, and 58% said they have not been told everything about the Iran- contra scandal, Time magazine reported Sunday.
The survey, conducted last week, contrasts with a poll last September in which 33% of respondents said the nation would be better served by a Democrat.
