A week after one television station said it had been assured Oral Roberts would make no more pleas for money so he can live past March, the evangelist again asked for money in a program aired Sunday by stations across the country.

Roberts issued a second plea to followers to help “extend my life” by sending money to fund a $4.5-million medical missionary scholarship program at Oral Roberts University.

Roberts told viewers he expects to die in March unless he gets money for the scholarship program.

“Can you send $100? Can you come into agreement with me that you’ll send $100? And God will meet your needs,” Roberts said. “I want to be able to stand on this television program in April alive and tell you I have all I need. . . . “

Roberts said God told him, “If you don’t do it, I’m going to call you home.”
