A spokesman for a coalition that backs President Reagan’s support of anti-Sandinista Nicaraguan rebels denied that members of the group assaulted an anti-Reagan protester at a rally. The purported attack occurred in front of the Federal Building on Wilshire Boulevard as about 300 members of the Democracy Defense Coalition listened to speeches by backers of the Reagan Administration policy. About 100 demonstrators turned out Sunday out to protest Administration policy. Nick Osheroff, 25, of Venice, said a coalition member hit him on the forehead with a placard and pushed him to the ground. “No one went up to him and hit him,” said coalition spokesman Gus Prado. “We had a permit to be on that property. We asked his group to go on the other side of the street, but they did not leave.”
