14 ‘Big Spin’ Players Win Prizes Totaling $515,000

Fourteen spinners won a total of $515,000 in the California Lottery’s “Big Spin” Saturday.

The top winners were Janet Runnels, 28, of Riverside and Mike Scott, 40, of Morongo Valley, who won $100,000 each.

Monica Kropf, 42, of Seal Beach, a homemaker and mother of two teen-age sons, was one of three spinners to win $50,000. “We’re going to pay off some bills,” she said, “and we’re going to Australia in a couple of weeks. . . . It’ll pay for the trip.”

Other winners:

$50,000--Jennie-Ann Saunders, 54, Spring Valley; Maria Espinoza, 38, Piru, and Kropf.

$25,000--Frank Garnetti, 24, Cerritos; Shirley Weinberger, 55, Hemet; Aurelio Calderon, 40, San Francisco; Helen Hernandez, 41, Alameda, and Carlos Martinez, 74, South Pasadena.

$10,000--Robert Stockand, 57, Fremont; Phillip Riddle, 48, Ramona; Irvin Lambert, 68, Oroville, and Dolores Egerer, 54, Los Osos, San Luis Obispo County.
