Ultrasystems Inc. Gets Satellite Subcontract

Ultrasystems Inc. said it has received a $1.5-million subcontract from Science Applications International Corp. of La Jolla to provide systems engineering and technical assistance on a satellite operations project for the U.S. Air Force Space Command in Colorado Springs, Colo.

Bobby McDaniel, president of the Irvine engineering firm, said that while the initial subcontract is worth about $1.5 million, it contains a two-year option which could push its value to $6.3 million.
