Federal prosecutors in Chicago charged two former Goodwill Industries executives with racketeering, mail fraud and tax violations for alleged real estate scams in which they diverted $500,000 from the charity. U.S. Atty. Anton Valukas announced the 20-count indictment against Harry Woodward, 53, former executive director of Goodwill, and Herman Raye, 65, of Las Vegas, a former associate director. They are accused of diverting profits made from donations of commercial and private property to Goodwill from 1980 to 1985.
