Venice : ‘Vision 2000’ Raises $50,000

The “Venice Vision 2000” benefit attracted 500 people and raised more than $50,000, according to sponsors. Money from the benefit, which was sponsored by an organization of residents and businessmen called the Venice Action Committee, will be used to finance the drafting of a new community plan on growth. The committee’s recommendations will be presented to City Councilwoman Pat Russell, who represents the Venice area.
