Italian Police Arrest U.S. School Official

VICENZA, Italy —
Police have arrested the American headmaster of a middle school at an Air Force base on charges of corrupting minors and carrying out obscene acts, authorities said Thursday.
Police gave no further details of the charges against Leo Browne, 53. Browne was in charge of the school at the Vicenza air base.
Browne was taken to the St. Pius X jail at Vicenza pending interrogation on the charges by State Prosecutor Carmine Pace, the police said.
